Wales
is a land of history, scenery, castles, culture and song. Blaen
Cefn is ideally located for touring the Lleyn Peninsula, Snowdonia
National Park, the Isle of Anglesey and North Wales generally.
There are many good sandy beaches for safe bathing, surfing
and boating, sits to see and places to visit.
Wales
is renowned for it Narrow Gauge Railways. Not only can these
railways be enjoyable to ride on, they can also be a means
of transport to sights and attractions. The Ffestiniog Railway
run through the grounds of Blaen Cefn Park.
From
Blaen Cefn there are miles of nature walks. Snowdon with its
rack and pinion railway providing an easy way of climbing to
the top, for those who do not wish to walk. Visit the Padarn
Country Park, have a picnic, walk the nature trails, enjoy
the scenery. See the Gloddfa Ganol Slate Mine in Blaenau Ffestiniog,
walk the enormous caverns that were blasted out by miners working
by candlelight, visit the craft shop.
Why
not visit the hydro-electric powers station. Walk through the
village of Portmeirion the Italianted village with its spectacular
building which featured in the long running television series "The
Prisoner". Visit the Great Orme hill at Llandudno, travel
by cable drawn tram, or be daring and take the cable car. Take
an evening ride on the Ffestiniog "Jazz Train".
